On our way we visit the powerful Skógafoss Waterfall, as well as Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, a photographer’s dream, where powerful Atlantic waves crash against black sands and framed by jagged basalt sea stacks and a towering basalt-column cave that leaves visitors in awe.
Continuing onwards, they arrive at the charming village of Vík, the southernmost settlement in Iceland. Despite its small size, Vík offers a warm welcome and serves as an essential hub along the island’s main ring road.
On the return journey to Reykjavík, they visit the iconic Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, standing at an impressive 60 meters tall and famous for the hidden pathway that leads behind and around the cascading waters. You are suspended in your seats in front of a curved, wide screen spanning about twenty meters, onto which a ten-minute film is projected, allowing you to explore the Icelandic landscape in all its splendor.
